    Description

This is an early "torpedo" shaped ring lip soda bottle that we dug from an 1840s St.Louis outhouse privy pit with all pontiled bottles. It has a big bold  embossed teardrop near base
....Hand blown in mold, bimal.....early smooth base...crude drippy applied ring lip....aqua....round ovoid torpedo with pointed bottom (wont stand upright on its own)....8 1/4"long....Excellent condition with no chips or damage. A dug bottle with some light inside haze. Crude whittled glass. I guarantee this bottle was blown in the 1840s because the bottles we dug with it were 1840s St.Louis bottles, such as R&J Adams..D.Colver....McCloud & Wheaton....
