    Description

    AU.  Bright White.  One corner fold upper right corner.  Sent in aMylar holder.
    The bank was organized in 1859 and became the First National Bank of Detroit in 1864. This wonderful red and black remainder features a large vignette of a sidewheeler steamer and is from one of the few banks that utilized "Lyman's Protection" as part of their bank note designs. The vertical bar that divides the note into two sections was located farther to the left as the denomination increased.
