Hank Moody suffers his professional nightmare, writer's block, yet retains a vivid sexual imagination, which highly inspires his active love-life. While he's young and attractive enough to pick up girls fast for a one-night-stand on the road, only his latest conquest proves a different matter. Meanwhile the fruit of Hank's intimacy with his equally frivolous ex Karen, 12-year-old daughter Becca, causes them to meet, this time to be told at school the kid's ease with sex way beyond her age is eerie, implying their bad example.
