About me:
Hello! Thank you for checking out my post. I am a 40 year old father of two toddlers just trying to earn a few extra dollars here and there to ensure that I can always put food on the table, clothes on their backs, a smile on their face, and and ideally save a little for their college education.
About my hats:
I personally select each hat, looking for only those in a good enough condition that I myself would wear without hesitation. Please feel free to check out my other sales as you may just find what you are looking for. I try to vary my selection ranging between sports teams, running and golf hats, trucker caps, and anything else that I think has a cool theme to it.
Many of these hats are unused but if they do not have a tag, I will always classify them as pre-owned. With that said, I will never sell a hat with visible damages or with clear signs of use (ie: sweat stains). It is my goal to receive 100% positive feedback from each sale and because of that I treat each customer the same way I would want to be treated. I will answer any questions without hesitation.
Sales price:
I am trying to earn a very slight profit per hat, usually around . My goal is to find you the hat you want and may not find near you, for a reasonable price. I do not offer free shipping simply because that would result in increasing the sales price just to hide the extra costs. As such I will almost always offer the hat for more than I actually paid - to cover EBay’s fees. Like I said, if I can earn five dollars for helping you find the hat you’ve been looking for, then we both come out ahead.
Offers:
As a 40 year old it is quite likely that my sense of “cool” just isn’t what it should be. More frequently than I’d like, I will purchase a hat that I think will sell quickly just to find out that I seem to be the only person on EBay who thinks it’s cool. Please allow my mistakes to serve as your good fortune - this means that I am open to all reasonable offers on my hats. While I aim to make a slight profit, there are many times that I will simply just need to recoup my own investment and will sell to you at cost. With that in mind please feel free to make a reasonable offer - as long as it is not unjustly low, I will either accept it or counter with a slightly higher amount. If I do not accept your offer please know that it’s probably because I will ultimately need to justify this hobby to my wife - and losing money in each sale just won’t go over well. My couch is comfortable to sleep on but I want that to be my choice and not hers. ( To my wife - if you are reading this, I’m only kidding (mostly). I love you and I’m doing this for our future).
Shipping:
Almost all items purchased on a weekday will ship the morning after purchase (with rare exceptions). Items purchased over the weekend will usually ship first thing on Monday morning. I package my items well to ensure they reach you in the exact condition I advertise. Because of this, my shipping fees tend to be exactly what I estimate it will cost me or slightly less. Each hat ships in a clean/new box which I purchase specifically for your item. Each box costs me .00 (as I do not purchase massive quantities in advance - ie: this is a hobby and not an assembly line) and I absorb this cost into the sales price. This means that I am not charging you extra in shipping fees just to cover this added expense. Most hats ship for .50 because this is usually exactly what it costs me (again with rare exceptions - yes I’m talking about you “Ms Hawaii”).
Cancellations:
I have only ever cancelled one sale on here and that was because the item disappeared. If I have to cancel ever again it only means that one of my two kids thought it made a good item for dress up and it has since disappeared or has been damaged.
Feedback:
Please provide honest feedback on our transaction. I will always provide positive feedback for those who pay fast. I will not send you a negative rating - unless you do not pay. As a small “business” my reputation is important. I cannot compete with the large factories that can afford to produce and ship hats in mass quantities at prices that are too good to be true. I strive to offer good products at good prices with good service and I hope my ratings will reflect that.
If you are ever searching for a hat you just can’t find, let me know and I will keep my eyes open. If I find it I will let you know and offer it for that same profit. No finders fees.
