US Civil War 1/9 Plate Ambrotype Young Soldier Portrait. I have no information on who the lock of hair came from, but it is original to the case. It did recently come loose, but it was sewn to the case with a thread. I didn't have any notes on this one, but I'm pretty sure it is an ambrotype from the "haze" around the outside of the picture and it's not magnetic. So please use your judgement because you probably are more knowledgeable on these than I am (without my dad's notes).
These are from my dad's collection, so while I'm knowledgeable on some items, others not so much if I don't have the original auction page. If you see a mistake let me know an I'll update the information.
